INTRODUCTION
Villa 173 is set in a complex which overlooks a protected nature reserve and is just a 10 minute stroll from a beautiful sandy Mediterranean Blue Flag beach. The fabulous World Heritage site of the Canal du Midi is just a 10 minute walk in the opposite direction. Portiragnes Plage is at the heart of the Languedoc wine making region with many chateau, wineries and co-ops to visit. The Languedoc region enjoys a typical Mediterranean climate of hot summers and mild winters. A drive of less than an hour will bring you to many wonderful cities, towns and villages which are steeped in history – Beziers, Carcassonne, Narbonne, Perpignan, Montpellier, Pezanas, Roquebrun, Minerve, Agde, Cap d’Agde and Sete, to name but a few.
PORTIRAGNES PLAGE
Portiragnes Plage is a wonderful area for a family holiday. The beach is large, sandy and safe and shelves gently into the sea which makes it ideal for the young and not so young! Here you can enjoy sailing, windsurfing, kite surfing and kite flying. Other activities within the area include walking, cycling and roller blading along the many cycle tracks from the village and along the Canal du Midi. Fishing, horse riding, tennis, trampolines, golf and crazy golf are other activities which can be enjoyed nearby. Within a drive of less than a half an hour there are many theme parks, e.g. Aqualand and Europark; also karting, quad biking and canoeing on the river Orb. A little further in the opposite direction is the wonderful Sigean Safari Park – a must for the children. Most mornings during the summer there is a market held in Portiragnes Plage where you can buy everything from your fresh local produce to your inflatable shark! On Friday you can visit the flower market in the wonderful city of Bezier, do some therapy shopping and have lunch with a glass of wine in one of its many pavement cafes and watch the world go by! FUN FOR ALL THE FAMILY!
This is a new 3 bed roomed villa in a private, secure, gated residence with a shared swimming pool and private parking. There is sleeping accommodation for up to 6 people in the villa. The villa is accessed through a large, fenced 100 sq m garden with extensive patio areas and a lockable gate. The villa boasts a wonderful south/west aspect.
On the ground floor there is a large, fully equipped living/dining/kitchen area, utility area, bathroom and main bedroom with a 5ft king size bed (1.5/2m). First floor comprises a twin bedroom (2 x 90/2m), a bunk bedroom (2 x 90/2m), bathroom and door to 1st floor terrace which enjoys an east/west aspect. The first floor is accessed by a pine stairs from the living area.
